The CFMEU has campaigned for many years for additional benefits and protections for building workers. The union has successfully introduced a number of industry schemes that provide protections and benefits.

As part of the whole trade union movement, the CFMEU is totally committed to defending our members' rights at work. We call upon all members to be active - be union - and join with the rest of the union movement in effectively publicising the horrific changes facing not just building and construction workers, but all Australians under the former Howard Government’s legislation.
