"
The supreme governing body of the branch is the Divisional Branch State Council"

The Construction Forestry Mining Energy Union has four separate divisions and each division has branches in each state or territory.

Each division and branch has officers elected exclusively by members in that division and branch.

In NSW, only members of the Construction and General division can vote for the officers of the Construction and General divisional Branch.

The CFMEU Construction and General Division NSW branch has over 95 officers and staff. The majority of the officers are elected by financial members of the divisional branch every four years.

Non-unionists and non-financial members are not eligible to vote in these elections.

The supreme governing body of the branch is the Divisional Branch State Council
which meets at least every 2 years.

In between State Council meetings the branch is governed by the Committee of
Management which meets monthly.

In between Committee of Management meetings the Executive Officers of the
branch - the Secretary, President and two Assistant Secretaries - are responsible
for the day to day management and running of the branch.

The Secretary of the union, subject to direction of the Committee of Management,
co-ordinates the work of the Executive Officers and other specialist officers.

The other Executive Officers and the Industrial Co-ordinator support and supervise
the organisers.
The Organisers service the members at job sites and support site delegates.

Specialist Officers co-ordinate the work of staff and other appointed officers in areas
such as Legal, Wage Claims, Finance and Administration.

Delegates to Divisional Conference represent the Branch at the National Conference of the Construction & General Division.
