APPEAL FOR LAUREN HUXLEY

CFMEU & FSU CALL ON ALL MEMBERS TO HELP SUPPORT THIS FAMILY

Lauren Huxley, the 18-year-old attacked and left for dead in her Northmead home, underwent more than 10 hours of delicate facial reconstruction and neurosurgery.

Lauren made a remarkable recovery, and is now a volunteer worker at the CFMEU Lidcombe Office helping building workers with their problems and needs.

Lauren’s mum Christine has thanked all those who expressed support for Lauren’s recovery.

"The good news is that Lauren is progressing," she said. "She is a fighter; she is our little hero. She's looking beautiful and her radiant skin is shining through again. "We would like to thank the public for their overwhelming support; it really helps us get through this horrendous time."

Lauren's mum and dad are members of the Financial Services Union and the CFMEU respectively. We, their unions, considered their family our family - and their problems our problems.

We offer them every best wish of support, and ask the membership and the community to donate generously to help this family in Lauren's future recovery process. Let the family know you care.
